Pain and swelling in cheeks?

I have been sick now for 4 days with symptoms of coughing, sneezing, headache, chills, body ache, congestion, sinus drainage, and sore throat. Even though I felt slightly better today, I woke up this morning with swollen and painful cheeks right at the jaw hinge. The swelling is noticeable and the pain is pretty bad. I've read other accounts of swollen cheeks but my pain does not shoot to my eyes or ears, it is localized to my cheeks and follows my lower jaw downwards. I thought it might be my teeth at first, but the pain does not shoot out from my teeth even when chewing hard or pushing on them. Ibuprofen seemed to help the swelling a bit, but it eventually came right back. My coughing and sneezing fits have been very severe, hopefully this is not an infection! Any ideas?
