What do you call the horizontal architectural feature that boxes in a gable end?

It is really just an overhang or eave on the front wall, however some people may try to compare it to ancient Greek architecture and call it a cornice, frieze, or pediment. Otherwise people will call them a "full return" or "full eave return".
