Puerto Rican Green Chicken?

When I was a kid my best friend mom was from Puerto Rico but she married a man from El Salvador....anyway her mom used to make this dish where the chicken came out looking green and it was served with rice. I loved it! It wasn't spicy but it definitely was tasty. Can anyone please tell me if they know what this wonderful dish is called.
